With summer in full swing you?re sure to be spending time in the garden, relaxing or getting together with family and friends for a barbecue. If you feel inspired to do something extra special in your garden this year, you could consider a hot tub. For those of us who don?t have the space, or the money, for a heated swimming pool, cheap hot tubs from Argos could provide an ideal alternative.
It may not be something you have considered previously, but a spa can offer a range of benefits for all the family, from having fun with the kids to soothing aches and pains. Hot tubs have grown in popularity in the UK in recent years, thanks to prices becoming more and more reasonable and the range becoming more extensive. These days, there is a spa out there to suit any taste, budget and need.
You don?t necessarily have to have loads of space to accommodate one, either. Inflatable tubs might be one answer to space problems, as they can be moved around whenever you need to and can be deflated and stored when not in use. If you like the idea of a permanent tub, but don?t have much room, there are smaller, two seater models available that fit easily into a corner of the garden.
Before purchasing your spa, perhaps the first decision to be made is where you intend to put it. If you are choosing a permanent site, consider one or two points. It?s probably a good idea to keep the tub reasonably close to the house for ease of installation when it comes to the necessary plumbing and electrics, unless there are already water and power supplies elsewhere in the garden.
If you?re thinking of making use of the spa throughout the year, its proximity to the house will also become very important in colder weather, when you have to make your way to and from the tub wrapped only in your swimming costume and a towel! However, if you want to site the tub somewhere in the garden that doesn?t already have either shelter or the necessary utilities, factor in the additional installation costs and consider building a gazebo over it for extra protection when temperatures drop.
Whichever spa model you choose and wherever you decide to put it, you will be creating a haven in your garden that will give your home a touch of luxury and will have far reaching benefits for both your home and your family.
