That Book You Are Writing? It's a Startup | Fuel Your Writing

Do you think of yourself as a ?writer?? An ?author?? Or an ?entrepreneur??

Chances are that you?ve never referred to yourself as the latter. But perhaps now is the time to start acting like one.

Listen to Brian Clark

Brian Clark should be familiar to you. He is the founder of Copyblogger, one of the most respected writing advice sites on the Internet. But what sets Brian and Copyblogger Media (the company he created from the Copyblogger blog) apart is that they go beyond merely writing, to focus on effective content creation, marketing and good business practices.

Marketing yourself properly is incredibly important for a writer. Creating a brand, an audience, seeking out opportunities ? these are the types of things that an enterpreneur does day-in, day-out to build a successful business.

It?s time you did that too.

Turning Writers into Entrepeneurs

I?ve been trying to convert writers into entrepreneurs for 6 years now, and now you might not be able to resist.

Last week, Brian launched Entreproducer, a multimedia email newsletter that will focus on the business of independent new media content, and why every smart startup is a digital media company.

Screen shot 2012-02-28 at 11.10.32

His first article focuses on writers. Writers like you. In it, he examines the opportunities in ebooks, and argues why you should treat your book as a startup.

One way or another, you need to build an audience. And the smart entrepreneurial approach for authors involves creating free online content to build that audience before you try to sell a book (or anything else).

In other words, become an Internet publishing entrepreneur. Your first book is simply your first product, no matter the level of artistry you put into it, and your biggest asset is your audience.

Take Your Business Seriously

I think this last comment is key, and it definitely got me thinking. When an author begins to think like a business, then you realise the importance of taking the business of writing seriously. Of course, great content is paramount. But you need an audience, you need a market, you need people to care. On top of that, when you begin to think of yourself as an entrepreneur, you begin to look beyond the book. Why not think about publishing? Or speaking tours? Get your audience, and go from there.

Entreproducer

I would encourage everyone to sign up for Brian?s Entreproducer newsletter. No, I?m not getting anything for saying that, I just think it?s awesome. But you will definitely get something if you sign up. You?ll learn to think about your work in a whole new way.

Warren stumps on the Cape | CapeCodOnline.com

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren gets a standing ovation at the end of her speech at the Barnstable Senior Center on Saturday afternoon.Steve Heaslip/ Cape Cod Times

HYANNIS ? Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren whipped up a crowd of about 200 supporters at the Barnstable Senior Center Saturday.

Filling all the seats and stuffed into every corner, people clapped and cheered for each point made by the 62-year-old, pixy-like Harvard law professor. She made several stops from Falmouth to Truro Saturday during a Cape visit.

In Barnstable, they gave her a standing ovation even before she could completely utter her final goal, which Warren said, is to beat U.S. Senator Scott Brown, a Republican from Wrentham, in 2012.

Brown won the senate seat held for almost 50 years by the late Edward Kennedy, a Democrat.

A champion debate team member as a student in Oklahoma, Warren got her message across clearly and concisely on Saturday, beginning with her life story.

Warren's rallying cry is her desire to help the middle class and to rescue the old America where children typically did better than their grandparents.

She said the country needed to ?invest in itself,? that is, in education, research and infrastructure.
That's what helped her get ahead.

?I grew up in a middle class family that was hanging on, sometimes with white knuckles,? she said.

Her father, Donald Herring, a maintenance man, suffered a heart attack when Warren was in middle school. Her mother took a job working at Sears. They lost the family car, Warren said.

All three of her brothers entered the U.S. military, she added.

Warren excelled at school, graduating high school at 16.

She said she used a federal student loan program that encouraged students to enter fields, such as special education, that required manpower. After completing college at George Washington University, Warren became a special education teacher, and a portion of her loans were forgiven, she said.

?That was when America invested in its kids,? she said.

Barnstable Town Councilor Janet Joakim, of Centerville, told Warren her own daughter must make monthly student loan payments that are higher than her parents' mortgage payments.

?She'll never be able to buy a home,? Joakim told Warren.

?That's one of our most serious issues,? Warren said. ?Young people are getting further and further behind.?

Government programs such as the G.I. Bill and Project Head Start as well as community colleges and public universities, helped students get ahead, she said.

Today, attention to education, research and the country's infrastructure is way down; the proportion of the gross domestic product spent on research in the U.S. has gone down by 50 percent since the 1960s, Warren said.

China spends 10 percent of it gross domestic product on infrastructure and Europe spends 5 percent, she added.

?America spends 2.4 percent and we're trying to figure out how to cut it,? Warren said to applause.
Warren became a lawyer and then a law professor working at three universities before taking the job at the Harvard Law School in 1995.

In 2008, she was selected by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to chair the Congressional Oversight Panel, which was created to monitor the $700 billion bank bailout effort known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program.

?Secretary (Henry) Paulson of the U.S. Treasury was shoveling money to financial institutions with no strings attached,? she said. ?The failure to make people (in the financial sector) accountable is a dark stain in our country.?

One person asked Warren how she differed from Brown on the topic reproductive rights for women.
She said Brown co-sponsored a bill that would allow employers and insurers to limit specific health care coverage, including contraception, based on religious or moral objections.

?This isn't about religion,? Warren said. ?What its really about is widening the number of insurers and employers who can deny basic health care needs ... I think it's profoundly wrong.?

Warren said she has a special connection to Cape Cod. The mother and father of her husband, Bruce Mann, are buried in a Hyannis cemetery.

Posted on February 23rd, 2012

Food and Drink Forum LogoBusiness support organisation The Food and Drink Forum is flying the flag for regional producers next month at one of the UK?s largest food and drink trade shows.

The Forum, which operates across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland, is offering producers the chance to showcase their products at the event under the East Midlands banner.

Food and Drink Expo, which is one of the most popular trade events for the food and drink sector, takes place from Sunday 25 March to Tuesday 27 March at the NEC Birmingham.

This year, Expo boasts a new farm shop and deli area which will highlight artisan food products. It?s there that The Forum will help to promote some of the East Midlands? best producers.

Saleh's deputy becomes new Yemen president

A general took power in Yemen on Tuesday as the sole candidate in a presidential election after a year-long uprising that ousted long-serving ruler Ali Abdullah Saleh but left the poor Arab country still teetering on the brink of chaos.

The election confirms Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who served as Saleh's vice president and close confidant, as president. He is tasked with implementing a power-sharing deal with Saleh's political opponents under an agreement negotiated to remove Saleh after 33 years in power.

Yemen's uprising was one of the bloodiest of the revolts that have swept across North Africa and the Middle East. Saleh becomes the fourth Arab autocrat toppled in the wave of unrest that began in Tunisia more than a year ago. His sons and nephews retain command of powerful military units and security agencies.

In a reminder of the daunting task his successor faces holding Yemen together, at least nine people were killed in election-related violence that cut voting short in southern Yemen, where separatists demanded an election boycott.

"Elections are the only exit route from the crisis which has buffeted Yemen for the past year," Hadi said after voting.

Minibuses plastered with posters of Hadi and decked out with speakers sped around the capital Sanaa blaring out pop songs to shouts of "Vote to Save Yemen."

Slideshow: Yemen in the spotlight (on this page)

Saleh, now in the United States for treatment of burns suffered in an assassination attempt last June, joins Tunisia's Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, Egypt's Hosni Mubarak and Libya's Moammar Gadhafi as leaders toppled in the "Arab Spring."

He leaves behind an economy in shambles, a rebellion in the north, separatism in the south, a tenacious wing of al-Qaida, and a divided military still partly dominated by his kin.

Long queues formed early in the morning outside polling stations in Sanaa amid tight security, after an explosion ripped through a voting center in the southern port city of Aden on the eve of the vote.

"We are now declaring the end of the Ali Abdullah Saleh era and will build a new Yemen," prominent Yemeni human rights activist Tawakul Karman, who shared this year's Nobel Peace Prize, said as she waited to cast her ballot outside a Sanaa university faculty.

Voters dipped their thumbs in ink and stamped their finger prints on a ballot paper bearing a picture of Hadi and a map of Yemen in the colors of the rainbow.

Yellow taxis careened through Sanaa with young men sticking their arms out of the windows waving their freshly dyed thumbs.

Turnout hit by violence
A high turnout would lend Hadi the legitimacy he needs to carry out changes outlined in the U.S.-backed power transfer deal brokered by Yemen's Gulf neighbors, including the drafting of a new constitution, restructuring the armed forces and preparing for multi-party elections in two years' time.

Turnout, which one official estimated was as high as 80 percent, was hit by violence in Aden, where an election organizer said attacks forced voting to end by mid-afternoon.

"There was a boycott, and when those who were boycotting found they weren't winning they turned to resistance and seized ballot boxes and stormed polling places," Mohammed Hussein al-Hakimi told reporters in Sanaa. He said final election results could take as long as 10 days to emerge.

PhotoBlog: Yemen seals Saleh's exit with single-candidate ballot

Election committee official Khamis al-Dayani earlier said nine of some 300 large polling districts were unable to begin voting for security reasons, and that an election official had been killed in the southern city of Taiz.

Southerners, who accuse the north of grabbing their resources and discriminating against them, are demanding a divorce from the north. The two regions were separate countries until they were united in 1990, and fought a civil war in 1994.

Security forces fired on protesters throwing stones during an anti-election rally in front of a polling station in al-Hota, the capital of the southern Lahej province, killing two, witnesses and local officials said.

An officer from the Republican Guards and an armed secessionist were also killed during clashes in the port city of al-Makalla, capital of Hadramout governorate, officials said.

The streets of Aden were nearly deserted and intermittent gunfire could be heard. Masked youths carrying rifles and machine guns patrolled junctions, preventing people from reaching polling stations.

Gunmen attacked voting centers in the districts of Khor Maksar, Mansoura and Maala in the Aden vicinity at dawn, killing one soldier, residents said. They stole ballot boxes and set them on fire in the street.

A leader in the Southern Movement, Abdulhamid Shokri, said four civilians including a child had died in Aden since the morning as a result of clashes between security forces and people opposed to the election.

Partners in crime
The northwest of the country is largely controlled by an insurgent group known as Houthis, whom Saleh tried to crush before a cease-fire in 2010. They have expanded their territory as central government authority crumbled, and called for a boycott of the vote.

"These are not real elections, it is just formalizing the American-backed GCC initiative which aimed to control the Yemeni revolution," said Dayfallah al-Shami of the Houthis' leadership council, referring to the Gulf Cooperation Council regional group of states. "It is just a reproduction of the same regime."

The vote was supported by the United States and Yemen's rich neighbors led by Saudi Arabia, who - alarmed at signs of al-Qaida exploiting political upheaval to strengthen its regional foothold - threw their weight behind the power transfer deal.

But the poll was denounced in advance by some of the youth activists who first took to the streets to demand Saleh's ouster. They regard the transfer plan as a pact among an elite they see as partners to the crimes of Saleh's tenure, including the killings of protesters in the uprising against him.

Some demonstrators dyed their thumbs red in protest at the elections and in memory of those killed during the uprising.

The interim government faces a fiscal and humanitarian crisis, and has sought billions of dollars in international aid since unrest has all but paralysed modest oil exports that fund imports of food staples.

Washington - which has said it wants a united Yemeni leadership as a partner in its campaign against al-Qaida - is likely to play a role in an impending donors' conference. Yemen is one of the countries that allow U.S. forces to use drone aircraft to strike al-Qaida militants.

The United Nations Children's Fund says 57 percent of Yemen's 12 million children are chronically malnourished - the highest level outside Afghanistan - and half a million face death or disfigurement from poor nutrition.

The U.N. envoy who helped seal the transition pact denounced the violence in the south as a violation of the Security Council resolution that echoes the deal's terms. He also called for donor cash to avert the collapse of the country.

"They need to step up to the mark and start supporting Yemen if they want to see it survive the transition. The government is still financially crippled," said Jamal Benomar.

"Expectations are high and if people do not see some improvement in their daily lives, then further unrest is a serious possibility."

Radiation detected 400 miles off Japanese coast

(AP) ? Radioactive contamination from the Fukushima power plant disaster has been detected as far as almost 400 miles off Japan in the Pacific Ocean, with water showing readings of up to 1,000 times more than prior levels, scientists reported Tuesday.

But those results for the substance cesium-137 are far below the levels that are generally considered harmful, either to marine animals or people who eat seafood, said Ken Buesseler of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts.

He spoke Tuesday in Salt Lake City at the annual Ocean Sciences Meeting, attended by more than 4,000 researchers this week.

The results are for water samples taken in June, about three months after the power plant disaster, Buesseler said. In addition to thousands of water samples, researchers also sampled fish and plankton and found cesium-137 levels well below the legal health limit.

"We're not over the hump" yet in terms of radioactive contamination of the ocean because of continued leakage from the plant, Buesseler said in an interview before Tuesday's talk. He was chief scientist for the cruise that collected the data.

The ship sampled water from about 20 miles to about 400 miles off the coast east of the Fukushima plant. Concentrations of cesium-137 throughout that range were 10 to 1,000 times normal, but they were about one-tenth the levels generally considered harmful, Buesseler said.

Cesium-137 wasn't the only radioactive substance released from the plant, but it's of particular concern because of its long persistence in the environment. Its half-life is 30 years.

The highest readings last June were not always from locations closest to the Fukushima plant, Buesseler said. That's because swirling ocean currents formed concentrations of the material, he said.

Most of the cesium-137 detected during the voyage probably entered the ocean from water discharges, rather than atmospheric fallout, he added.

Hartmut Nies, of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said Buesseler's findings were not surprising, given the vastness of the ocean and its ability to absorb and dilute materials.

"This is what we predicted," Nies said after Buesseler presented his research.

Nies said the water's cesium-137 concentration has been so diluted that just 20 miles offshore, "if it was not seawater, you could drink it without any problems."

"This is good news," he said, adding that scientists expect levels to continue to decrease over time.

"We still don't have a full picture," Nies said, "but we can expect the situation will not become worse."

Oracle drops patent from Google lawsuit, Google moves to strike Oracle's third damages report

Oracle drops patent from Google lawsuit, Google moves to strike Oracle's third damages report
After much sound and fury in its legal proceedings for IP infringement against Google, Oracle's claims continue to be whittled away. Judge Alsup has been on Oracle's case to downgrade its damages claims for months now, and on Friday, he got yet another reason to do so. Ellison's crew has finally withdrawn the last remaining claim of patent number 6,192,476 from the litigation -- the very same patent that had 17 of 21 claims wiped out earlier during a USPTO re-examination proceeding. Additionally, Google has filed a motion to strike Oracle's third damages report for, once again, artificially inflating the monetary damages in its expert report. No one can say for sure how the judge will rule on that motion, but given that Oracle's got less IP than ever with which to allege infringement, it seems likely that the Court will send it back to the damages drawing board.

Protein- Builds Strength for Sports

Undeniably, athletes and active people need more energy in their activities. Their daily routines and exercises require them bigger energy compared to a normal individual. One source of that energy is protein.

Protein is commonly referred as the building blocks of our body. It is one of the essential elements required to make our bones, muscles, skin and other tissues. Needless to say, protein is important for our body. Storage of protein in our body is not easy that is why we need make sure that we have regular intake of protein. Common sources of protein are meat products like fish, chicken, beef and pork. Other sources include eggs, nuts, fruits and vegetables. A good combination of all of these creates a good and balanced source of protein.

In athletes, a greater amount of protein is necessary to promote repair of muscles and rebuilding those that were worn out during exercise and strenuous activities.

This is essential in sports nutrition. Since athletes are more prone to muscle activities, their diet should be checked and monitored to make sure they have enough sources of energy to continue in their activities.? Sports nutrition should be practiced and followed at all times.

Sports nutrition is actually dedicated and focused on the diet and nutritional requirements for those active individuals and athletes. Its main concern is to aid in making a unique diet for the athlete that can supply the athlete the much-needed energy and fluid for the day. Some athletes even hire professionals just to look into their sports nutrition and help them discipline themselves on what to take in. ?

Indeed, protein and other food groups are essential in an athlete?s sports nutrition.

However, anything in excess may be harmful. There should be just enough amount of protein intake to match the athlete?s protein requirement.

Bobby Brown Performs, Gambles at Casino Post-Whitney Houston Funeral

The story is well known by now: Bobby Brown left Whitney Houston's funeral after just 20 minutes because he tangled with security, and his former in-laws, over seating arrangement.

But where did he go from there? To Mohegan Sun, a casino in Connecticut, where Brown performed a set with New Edition.

"I wanna give blessings to my ex-wife Whitney Houston. I love you," Brown said at one point during the concert, pointing toward the sky. "I want to give blessings to my kids, my brothers and all of you. Thank you for the love."

Following a show that included past hits such as "Tenderoni" and "My Prerogative," sources tell People Brown dined with friends.

Bobby Flay's restaurant, Bar Americain. He didn't drink, posed a bit with fans and later gambled for about 20 minutes at $500 blackjack tables.

"He wasn't really partying, but he was having a good time with his old crew from Boston," says a witness. "He had a lot of support and bodyguards stuck close to him to keep fans from being too intrusive."

After a late-night snack, this onlooker says Brown then retired for the night around 2 a.m.

John Glenn reflects on NASA's space legacy 50 years after first orbit

On Feb. 20, 1962, Glenn piloted NASA's Mercury capsule, known as Friendship 7, three times around Earth, matching the groundbreaking achievement of the rival Soviet Union, which launched cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin into orbit 10 months earlier. ?

Fifty years ago, John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth, and his nearly five-hour expedition ushered in a new era of spaceflight for the nation.

On Feb. 20, 1962, Glenn piloted?NASA's Mercury capsule, known as Friendship 7, three times around Earth, reaching a maximum altitude of about 162 miles (261 kilometers). Glenn's orbital milestone matched the groundbreaking achievement of the rival Soviet Union, which launched cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin into orbit 10 months earlier.

On Monday (Feb. 20), NASA will salute 50 years of Americans in orbit by honoring Glenn and his Friendship 7 flight. Since that fateful journey, the agency landed astronauts on the moon, flew 135 space shuttle flights and constructed a $100 billion laboratory in space, among many other accomplishments.

Following the Friendship 7 flight, Glenn was?heralded as an American hero, and five decades later, his orbital journey still resonates with the public.

"Fifty years seems like two weeks more than 50 years," Glenn, who will turn 91 on July 18, told SPACE.com. "I think the duration that people have been interested in that, the first flights back there, have been somewhat of a surprise. We're so used to the new and the untried in this country, whether it is the equivalent in automobiles or whatever it is, that I think we've gotten used to that. So it has been a little bit of a surprise that attention has been and keeps coming back to some of those very early flights." [Photos: John Glenn's Space Legacy]

The social and political climate

Part of this fascination is because the success of Glenn's Friendship 7 flight altered the tide in the?fierce Cold War competitionbetween the U.S. and the former Soviet Union. The Soviets launched the first artificial satellite, Sputnik I, in October 1957, four years later, Gagarin became the?first person to reach space?(and the first to orbit Earth) on April 12, 1961.

"The Soviets at that time were claiming technical superiority to the United States because they could do rocket flights and ours were blowing up on the pad too often," Glenn said. "So it was against that backdrop and their claims of superiority in rocketry that we came into the program. It was something that we felt at that time, so there was a big effort to get us back on top again."

After?years of Soviet dominance, Glenn's success in orbit evened the playing field and reinvigorated America's space program, said John Logsdon, space policy expert and professor emeritus at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

"It was a time of head-on-head superpower rivalries for global leadership," Logsdon told SPACE.com. "Everyone was recovering from World War II and it was a very tense time in U.S.-Soviet relations. Having something positive happen, particularly in an area where the Soviet Union looked like it was ahead, was politically very important." [Giant Leaps: Top Milestones of Human Spaceflight]

The flight also captivated the public, and after returning to Earth, Glenn received a hero's welcome in New York City.

"It was the first of the ticker-tape parades through Manhattan," Logsdon said. "Everyone was glued to their television sets. It was new, exciting and adventurous."

It was after seeing Glenn's New York City parade that Logsdon himself was inspired to pursue a career related to space.

"I was in transition back to graduate school that spring and going into political science, and I remember very vividly seeing Colonel Glenn parade through Manhattan on March 1, 1962. And it was that more than Kennedy's speech or Sputnik that got me interested in space."

The original seven

Glenn, who was born in Cambridge, Ohio, in 1921, was one of NASA's original seven astronauts ? the so-called Mercury Seven. The trials and tribulations of those involved in Project Mercury were later immortalized by author Tom Wolfe in "The Right Stuff."

Selected in 1959 for the agency's first astronaut class, Glenn beat out a pool of 508 skilled, high-flying pilots and military men. While fellow Mercury Seven astronauts?Alan Shepard?and Virgil (Gus) Grissom flew to space before Glenn, the maximum altitude for both their flights put them only in the suborbital reaches.

On that February day in 1962, Glenn circled the Earth three times in the Friendship 7 capsule before splashing down in the Atlantic Ocean. He became a pioneer for orbital spaceflight, and NASA would continue to push the boundaries of exploration.

And after years of Americans in orbit, Glenn hopes to see that tradition continue.

"I see exploration going two directions: one is macro, which is out to Mars or wherever we're going out into space and back," Glenn said. "But to me, wherever we go we should try to?maximize the research return?of the capabilities we are developing. And that is what develops the support for the program. It does more good for people right here on Earth and does more to support the program for the long term than anything else we could do."

For instance, more emphasis should be put on the research capabilities of the?International Space Station, he added.

"To me, we have never really exploited our ability in low-Earth orbit," Glenn said. "The International Space Station is the most unique laboratory ever built by human beings. It cost us over $100 billion and about 18 years to get it to the condition that it is in. We should be working on ways to do the research that makes the whole program doubly beneficial in addition to just seeing how far we can go and keep someone alive and bring him back."

Life after Project Mercury

Glenn left NASA in 1964 and entered into business and politics. He was elected to the United States Senate, representing his native Ohio as a Democrat, and served from 1974 to 1999.

"Glenn's space career is only one facet of his life," Logsdon said. "He was a very productive senator and he made his mark on American society in a number of ways."

Throughout his tenure, Glenn remained a fervent supporter of NASA and a strong voice for the American space program. [50 Years of Presidential Visions for Space Exploration]

And in 1998, at age 77, Glenn flew to space again on the shuttle Discovery's STS-95 mission. After spending almost nine days in space, Glenn became the world's oldest astronaut, a title he still holds.

Shortly before his return to space, Glenn announced the creation of the John Glenn Institute (now the John Glenn School of Public Affairs) at Ohio State University in Columbus. The school featured a special exhibit about the Friendship 7 flight on campus and will lead a series of spaceflight forums and panels to mark the 50th anniversary.

"John Glenn is, quite simply, an extraordinary American patriot," E. Gordon Gee, president of Ohio State University, said in a statement. "He is a man of boundless courage, limitless optimism and unswerving honor. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to celebrate his tremendous achievements and his important leadership at Ohio State. He is one of this university?s ? and this nation?s ? greatest treasures."

The school is also hosting a gala dinner Monday to honor Glenn and his achievements. Former NASA astronaut Mark Kelly, who commanded the space shuttle Endeavour's final flight, will speak at the event.

NASA is also holding special events to mark the occasion.

Today (Feb. 17) at 10 a.m. EST, NASA chief Charles Bolden and Kennedy Space Center director Bob Cabana will host a special program on?NASA Television?with Glenn and fellow Mercury astronaut Scott Carpenter. Three months after Glenn's Friendship 7 flight, Carpenter became the second American in orbit on May 24, 1962.

A news conference will be held at 3 p.m. EST at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Cape Canaveral, Fla., in the Mercury Mission Control exhibit. This event will be broadcast on NASA TV.

On Saturday (Feb. 18), Glenn and Carpenter will participate in a ceremony at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex honoring those who made Project Mercury possible. Cabana, Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) and astronaut Steve Robinson, who flew with Glenn on Discovery's STS-95 mission in 1998 will speak at the event.

On Monday (Feb. 20) at 1:30 p.m. EST, Glenn and NASA administrator Charles Bolden will speak live with the crew aboard the International Space Station.

On March 2, Glenn will deliver the keynote address at a special event, called "Celebrating John Glenn's Legacy: 50 Years of Americans in Orbit," hosted by NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The agency's Glenn Research Center is named for the astronaut.
